Ace the Crow Sponsorship
Alberta Einstein Crow aka ACE or BABY Crow is an American Crow who loves attention. Ace has been a permanent resident at CWR for 6+ years. She came in as a baby with a broken leg and wing. CWR Director Jennifer Gordon raised her and nourished her back to health. Since crows are so intelligent, they imprint very easily, and she was unable to be released back into the wild. Ace believes she is a human and likes to make her opinions known by mimicking other animals or saying "What?" when someone talks to her. She is a great ambassador for CWR.

Carolina Waterfowl Rescue is growing! As you know we bought land in late 2019 but due to Covid and donations decreasing we had to sell the property to keep the rescue afloat. This happened for a reason! The property next-door became available which allowed us to be able to expand without moving. Part of this plan for the new land is to create an Adoption & Education Center. This will advance animals to their forever homes more quickly. Another goal is to be able to reach thousands of more people in the community to educate them about our wildlife. This presents some challenges as well. We need to raise funds for updating and remodeling our current sanctuary where more rescued animals will be provided with a home until they find their permanent home. Our hope is to be open to the public for tours within the next few years. Becoming open to the public will come with an increased cost of care for the animals, as we must meet USDA standards for inspections!
We can't do this without your support!! We love Ace, who is one of our permanent residents just like YOU do. So, we are asking for Resident Sponsorships to help with the cost of their housing, food, and medical care.

- Routine Vaccinations
- De-worming
- Any veterinary care that is needed
- Housing, including straw and/or bedding
- Cost of utilities, including power, water, etc.
- Accessories, like enrichment items, food bowls, harnesses/leads, etc. (Varies between animals)
